The renderings of Huatai’s own home made Bentley were posted to CCT quite some time ago, we all thought it was a proof of design concept and Huatai would never actually make the thing. Except we were wrong, they did make it, and they do plan on producing it, and they’ve got a road tester that has been spotted out testing near their factory. Oh dear:
Although the car looks to be in the early stages of testing, you can clearly see the overall style of the car is quite similar to the Opel Insignia down the side, but the front end totally takes the Bentleys grill. The wheels seemed to have been borrowed from the Roewe 750, although they have the Huatai logo in the centre.
It is likely that this car will be powered by SAIC’s 1.8T engine, which Huatai have used previously in their SUV range.
