M3 is used to characterize 3 series top model of German car producer BMW. ATT tuner called its new power car Thunderstorm M3. Rastatt tuning specialists put much effort and creativity not only in design but also in great driving performance. At first glance you cannot estimate the scope of retrofitting, but the design is definitely not too stylish. Moreover, ATT has paid attention to powerful performance tuning.

The inbuilt compressor together with engine software optimization greatly increase engine performance. It is provided for by unique exhaust system with optimized dynamic pressure (available in two sound variations) for 1'355.00 Euro with 4x90 exhaust pipes increasing engine power up to 500 hp. The price for engine retrofitting is 11'749.00 Euros, including installation.

In order to correspond to driving performance, ATT gives its an upgrade in chassis. Now, KW coilover suspension Variant 3 (2'029.00 Euro) guarantees better road-holding, even at high speeds.

Huge ATT-TEC LeMans 20”alloy rims increase body overall width. 8,5x20 and 10x20 alloy rims with Michelin „Pilot Sport 2“ 245/30 ZR 20 and 285/25 ZR 20 tyres cost 3'475.00 Euros, mounting & balancing included. The set is completed by 20 mm distance washers (for 393,00 Euros) on the front and rear axle.

Optionally you can order an interior packet for the passenger cabin with either carbon parts or Swarovski crystals.

It includes the stunning WIDESTAR wide version, engine tuning including the BRABUS 6.1 displacement engine with 462 hp (456 bhp) / 340 kW of power, custom-tailored wheels with diameters of up to 23 inches and exclusive interior upgrades.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR wide version, manufactured in OEM quality from Pur-R-Rim plastics, lends all GL-Class models an even more stunning appearance. The elegantly curved fender flares add five centimeters (two inches) to the width of the SUV.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR front apron and its large air dams give the 4x4 an even more striking face, and reduce aerodynamic lift on the front axle at high speed. Integrated LED daytime running lights and auxiliary high beams and fog lamps improve active safety further.

The BRABUS rocker panels don't just look great, they also make entering and exiting the vehicle in the dark safer thanks to their integrated entrance lights.

The rear view of the wide version is dominated by the roof spoiler and the new rear apron custom-tailored to the wider fenders. The new bumper features an integrated diffuser, courtesy lights that illuminate the ground behind the vehicle and cutouts for the tailpipes of the BRABUS stainless-steel quad sport exhaust system.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR version also creates room for three-piece BRABUS Monoblock E PLATINUM EDITION wheels in size 11Jx23. These nine-spoke wheels have a forged high-gloss-polished drop center and can be fitted with Pirelli or YOKOHAMA high-performance street tires up to size 305/30 R 23.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR can also be equipped with 21-inch Monoblock VI or F wheels or with 22-inch wheels from the Monoblock VI, E, G, Q and S design families.

BRABUS offers powerful tuning for all GL engines, all backed by the incomparable BRABUS Tuning Warranty® of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles (see BRABUS warranty conditions as of November 2006) that sets the standard for the entire tuning industry. All BRABUS engines are lubricated exclusively with ARAL high-performance motor oil.

For the gasoline-powered V8 engines of the GL 450 and GL 500 models the top-of-the-line option is the BRABUS 6.1 displacement engine with a rated power output of 462 hp (456 bhp) / 340 kW and a peak torque of 615 Nm (453 lb-ft). Equipped with this engine the 4x4 accelerates from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 255 km/h (158 mph).

The BRABUS ECO PowerXtra tuning kits were developed for the especially popular common-rail turbodiesel engines. The BRABUS D6 (III) module bumps rated power output of the GL 350 CDI to 272 hp (268 bhp) / 200 kW and peak torque to 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) at just 1,600 rpm.

Rated power output of the GL 450 CDI with BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D8 (III) tuning jumps from standard 306 hp (302 bhp) / 225 kW to 350 hp (344 bhp) / 257 kW at just 3,800 rpm. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 700 Nm to 800 Nm (516 to 590 lb-ft). Performance is on an accordingly high level: The tuned GL 450 CDI accelerates from 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.1 seconds, half a second faster than the production car. Top speed increases from 230 to 240 km/h (144 to 150 mph).

The sporty performance of the tuned SUV's is ideally combined with professional BRABUS suspension tuning. A special module for the AIRMATIC air suspension of the GL-Class lowers the ride height by some 30 millimeters (1.2 inches). This measure not only benefits the looks of the GL. The lowered center of gravity also results in even sportier and safer on-road handling.

To further optimize active safety BRABUS also offers various high-performance brake systems for the Mercedes SUV. The largest version for the GL features 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers and vented and cross-drilled 380 x 36 millimeter (15.0 x 1.4 inches) discs on the front axle. The rear axle stops on 355 x 28 mm (14.0 x 1.1 inches) brake discs and six-piston fixed calipers.

Individual interior exclusivity is also a BRABUS top priority for the five-door SUV. The company upholstery shop transforms customer requests into masterfully crafted fully leather interiors made from especially soft and breathable Mastik leather and Alcantara.

The BRABUS program also includes numerous striking interior accessories. The list of available options ranges from scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo to sporty aluminum components such as pedals and door-lock pins, to an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel. Especially sporty highlights are added with carbon-fiber elements in ‘checkered-flag' design. Also available are precious-wood inlays in any desired color and with various surface finishes.

Multimedia is another BRABUS domain. Special consoles for the back of the GL-Class front seats each house a seven-inch LCD screen and a DVD player. These consoles are optionally available with an electrically deployed table.

The multimedia equipment can be expanded further. The expansion options include larger screens deployed from the headliner, an on-board PC system with ultra-fast Internet connection and an MP3 player that can hold more than 5,000 songs.

The package includes : dp2 phatom wheel set, front spoiler lip for AMG styling, headlight masks, two-lamella grille, CS power converter, daytime running lights, quadro 4-pipe retrofitting for left/right exhaust, and thread suspension.

This 2009 Toyota Venza was modified by Street Image in order to support top extreme athletes at future competitions. A new and aggressive custom body kit was added and this includes a unique Toyota/Billabong exterior paint design, fender flares and alloy wheels. The custom roof rack was designed by the manufacturer to accommodate surf, snow and wake boards.

This year Volkswagen decided to do away with the Rabbit name for the U.S., instead going back to the global Golf moniker, but despite the name-change, the 2010 Volkswagen GTI, based on the Golf, is still largely the same as it was last year. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

It’s been made a bit more attractive thanks to new sheetmetal tweaks that mark out the Mark VI model of the Golf, but it’s still the tossable, comfortable relatively efficient European hot-hatch that’s won so many fans over the years. For 2010, the GTI starts from $23,290, putting it shoulder-to-shoulder with competition like the MINI Cooper, Mazdaspeed3 and Honda Civic Si.

First Drive: 2010 BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo 550i

BMW flew me out to the prettier parts of New Jersey, stuffed me full of rich food, and put me through a day of "university" before letting me loose behind the wheel of the 5-Series GT.

Some physicists say that if you keep slicing any distance in half, you'll get smaller and smaller lengths until--theoretically--you reach the smallest distance possible, a length so small it's almost unimaginable. BMW must be approaching that theoretical quantum limit with the intervals in their model range, as the new 5-Series Gran Turismo--or GT, as it's badged--somehow finds space between the 5-Series sedan, X6 sports-activity "coupe" and the 5-Series Touring wagon.

Despite its closeness to other models in the BMW range, including the 7-Series, with which it shares its wheelbase and some styling elements, the 5-Series GT does stand out in several ways. In the end, though, it's still very much a familiar bit of BMW engineering.

The much anticipated production version of the Chevrolet Volt delivers up to 60 kilometers of gasoline and emissions-free electric driving.

More than 220 lithium-ion cells contained within the Volt's battery pack provide ample power. The Volt's electric drive unit delivers the equivalent of 150 hp/110 kW, 370 Nm of instant torque, and a top speed of 161 km/h. The lack of engine noise, combined with special sound-deadening materials, makes the Volt an extremely quiet vehicle to drive.

Enhanced driving dynamics ex factory for the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG: the new Performance Package Plus is an attractive optional extra that is designed to appeal to the power-hungry sports driver. The Performance Package Plus increases output by 22 kW/30 hp to 358 kW/487 hp. As a result, the C-Class approaches the level of performance offered by C-Class DTM vehicles, which deliver 377 kW/500 hp. The Performance Package Plus is available for the saloon and estate models and includes an AMG high-performance braking system featuring composite technology on the front axle, a carbon fiber spoiler lip (saloon) and an AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/Alcantara.

With the Performance Package Plus, the Mercedes C63 AMG accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 13.9 seconds. This beats the 336 kW/457 hp standard model by up to 1.2 seconds (0–100 km/h: 4.5 seconds; 0–200 km/h: 15.2 seconds). The top speed is 250 km/h (electronically limited).

The improvement in power output to 358 kW/487 hp is due to the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine's modified engine compartment: the forged pistons adopted from the new SLS AMG super sports car together with new connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft translate into a weight saving of three kilograms.

Reduced inertia boosts the agility and responsiveness of the uprated V8 engine, which is recognisable from the variable intake manifold painted in titanium grey. New engine management completes the powertrain measures in the Performance Package Plus for the Mercedes C63 AMG.

AMG high-performance braking system featuring composite technology

The Performance Package Plus braking system has been adapted to the enhanced driving dynamics. A new AMG high-performance braking system ensures greater stability when driving dynamically, with compound brake discs on the front axle and red painted brake callipers all round showing the AMG logo. The brake discs feature a composite design and are connected to an aluminium bowl to avoid temperature peaks. The connection between the disc and bowl is new: instead of the usual screw connection, the aluminium bowl is now connected to the brake disc via cast-in arms. The advantage is more homogenous temperature distribution on the brake disc.

A further identifying feature of the Performance Package Plus is the AMG carbon fiber spoiler lip on the boot lid (saloon). In the interior, the AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather with a grip area trimmed in Alcantara feels good, while at the same time making a striking visual impact.

The new AMG Performance Package Plus is available for Mercedes C63 AMG saloon and estate models and can be ordered now. The sales price is €7080.50 or €6426

(saloon/estate; prices include 19% VAT) with the market launch taking place in December 2009.

2009 BMW M6 modified

The tuning company Prior Designed, already refined Porsche 997 Turbo, Jaguar XJR and some other sports cars. Now it’s BMW M6’s turn and the project is named – PD550. BMW M6 will get entirely new custom-made body kit consisting of front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, front fenders.

PD550 is equipped with enormous multi-spoke 9Jx20″ at the front and 10.5Jx20″ at the rear forged wheels fitted with 255/35/ZR20 and 285/30/ZR20 tyres. There are also 21″ rims with the same width and slightly bigger tyres – 255/30/ZR21 at the fron and 295/25/ZR21 at the rear.

The body of BMW M6 is broadened with 80mm, which gave the car massive look. Combined with the huge wheels, lowered suspension and the body-kit, the car looks like a monster on the road.

The car is lowered with 30mm at the front and 25mm at the rear axle to create the perfect combination of aerodynamics.

The car also gets entirely new custom exhaust system to achieve maximum performance of the mighty V10 under the bonnet. May be the project name reveals the real number of the horse powers, which PD550 develops, but there is no official information about that.

All prior-design products are of course TĂœV tested and are approved for purchase according to traffic regulations.
